VSCodeMac is the brainchild of Bob Walsh, an accomplished writer and developer who wanted to make learning Miscrosoft’s Visual Source code easier. While Bob could easily develop the website on his own, he needed some help on the design side. We came up with the various parts of the site (guides, resources, a blog, and information about his book and VSCodePro program he developed) and I went to work designing an information forward, easy to navigate site to provide coders with resources as well as market Bob’s products.
I choose a color palette of blues that evoked technology and common brands like Microsoft and Dropbox, accented by the same red that Bob uses on his main website. Every dropdown menu and button was designed from scratch, making the entire site completed custom. Bob wanted to make sure that his website would work on a variety of screens so I designed the website with breakpoints for a laptop, tablet and smart phone. The site is set to launch by the beginning of March and I can’t wait to see what it does for Bob and his business.
